WSP WATCH Criminal History for Parkland

Washington State Patrol's WATCH database consolidates criminal history data from courts and law enforcement agencies statewide. For Parkland, the data comes from Pierce County Sheriff submissions to the WSP central repository. Because Parkland has no city police, all arrest data flows through the Sheriff rather than any city police department. This means WATCH coverage for Parkland is the same as for any other part of unincorporated Pierce County.

WATCH searches are available at the WSP Criminal Records Division website. Choose from three options: an online name search for $11, a mail-in name search for $32, or a fingerprint-based search for $58. Fingerprint searches are recommended when you need the most accurate results and cannot risk name-match errors. Results are mailed to the requester for fingerprint searches. Online searches return results on screen.

WATCH covers conviction records and pending charges. Arrests that did not result in charges are generally not included in public WATCH results. Cases dismissed before conviction are also excluded. Records sealed by court order do not appear. The Criminal Records Privacy Act under RCW 10.97 limits what non-conviction data can be shared even in response to a formal public records request.
